We can help you design and build a home which will save you time and money as well as the environment.
Obviously value for money is one of the prime concerns when deciding to build a new home, but with ICF's you also get value for money for life! by way of lower power bills, healthier environment and peace of mind that your new Insulated, Reinforced, Concrete home will last a lifetime and beyond.
Your home will look like any other "normal" home, but it will be stronger and warmer/cooler, healthier and last longer than the other "normal" homes being built today.
The ECO-Block ICF system consists of two types of plastic: Expanded Polystyrene (EPS) and high-density plastic. Each block has two side panels, each measuring 1220 mm long by 406 mm high by 64 mm thick. These side panels are made of flame retardant EPS. Every 203 mm on the horizontal axis of the side panel, there is a high-density plastic web that has been moulded into the EPS side panel. These webs provide a surface on the exterior of the EPS side panel that can be nailed or screwed into as well as a connection point on the interior of the EPS side panel where a connector element, also of high-density plastic, can be attached.
The connector element spans the cavity between the two side panels and connects the two side panels together to make the blocks. The connectors and the EPS side panels are easily and quickly assembled on site. The cavity made by the connector can be of varying sizes of 102 mm, 152 mm, or 203 mm depending on the length of the connector. It is in this cavity that concrete is placed to make the concrete walls of the building. After the concrete cures, the ECO-Block side panels remain in place and provide the insulation for the building.
